Briarcliff boys garner huge win

One could not win a bigger game in December than the boys basketball squad won at Byram Hills Dec. 13.

Led by Ryan Huegel and Brian Daniels, who each had 15 points, and 13 points from Tyriek Johnson, the Bears upset the defending Section 1 Class A champions 67-64.

Briarcliff girls win thriller

One is able to see what it is made of when it is challenged right down to the wire and the Briarcliff girls basketball squad got that challenge when it hosted Fox Lane Dec. 13.

Briarcliff answered that challenge as it defeated visiting Fox Lane in overtime 56-55 on Grace Orr's game-winning free throw in the final seconds.

Summer Horowitz and Cassidy Carrafiello each shared team-high honors by scoring 15 points apiece.

 

Pleasantville girls roll

Anna Marie D’Carlo registered 21 points and Zaria Cobb recorded 10 points in pacing the Pleasantville girls basketball squad to a 51-23 victory at Keio Dec. 13.
