Briarcliff boys win
Brian Daniels had 14 points, nine rebounds, and four assists for the Bears with teammate Tyriek Johnson contributing 10 points in No. 7 Briarcliff's 45-41 triumph against visiting Bronxville on Feb. 17 in the opening round of the Section 1 Class B Boys Basketball Tournament.

Briarcliff will play at No. 2 Albertus Magnus in the quarterfinals at 7 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 22.
The winners of each quarterfinal contest will advance to the Section 1 Class B Final Four at the Westchester County Center in White Plains Feb. 27-March 4.

Pleasantville does too
Nick Greto registered eight of his game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter for the No. 4 Panthers in Pleasantville's 54-39 triumph against visiting Hastings in its first-round Class B playoff contest on Feb. 17.
Teammate Jack Eisenberg contributed 11 points.
Host Pleasantville will play No. 5 Blind Brook at 6 p.m. also on Feb. 22, in a quarterfinal contest.

Same for B-Cliff girls
Brianna Celaj tallied 19 points and Marissa Contento garnered 11 points in No. 6 Briarcliff's 51-41 triumph against visiting Rye Neck Feb. 17 in the opening round of the Section 1 Class B girls basketball tournament.
The Bears will play at No. 3 Dobbs Ferry in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. on Feb. 22.
No. 16 Pleasantville also played in the opening round, losing at two-defending state champion Irvington 68-23.
Remi Manni led the Panthers with seven points.
