Men’s Tennis Falls to Regionally Ranked Southern New Hampshire

LONGMEADOW, Mass.- The Setters were defeated 9-0 by regionally ranked #9 Southern New Hampshire in Men’s Tennis action. Southern New Hampshire improves to 4-1 overall, and 4-0 in the Northeast-10 Conference, while the Setters fall to 0-5 overall and in conference play.
Sophomore Mike Metesen (Wappingers Falls, NY/Kent) open up in #1 singles with a hard fought match against SNHU’s Mitch Dobek but fell 6-3, 6-2. Freshman Brett Ringelheim (Atlantic Beach, NY/Lawrence) faced SNHU’s Jared Wright in #4 singles. Ringelheim came the closest to scoring a victory for Pace, but he fell 6-4, 6-4 in straight sets.

The Setters returned to action on Saturday February 18 as they travel to Tenafly, N.J. to face St. Thomas Aquinas in a non-conference match-up. The match starts at 7:30 pm.
Women’s Tennis Falls to Regionally Ranked Southern New Hampshire
LONGMEADOW, Mass.- The Setters were defeated 9-0 by #4 in the region Southern New Hampshire in Women’s Tennis action. Southern New Hampshire improves to 6-0 overall, and 5-0 in conference Play, while the Setters fall to 0-5 overall and 0-5 in conference play.
In #1 singles, Simona Mrazova (Bratislava, Slovakia/QSI International) faced SNHU’s Alena Mukdaprakorn. Mrazova lost the first set 6-2, but battled back to win the second set 7-6. In the tie-breaker set, Mrazova fought hard, but ended up coming short 7-4.
The Setters return to action on Tuesday March 13 as they play Adelphi University.
Boys youth hoops
Pleasantville had a big day Jan. 29 as it defeated Scarsdale 57-37 in the boys seventh grade A division of the Tri-County Basketball League.
