Orza in the top 10

Being in the top 10 in anything is considered a special thing and Mount Pleasant ice-hockey goalie Lucien Orza is just that when it comes to save percentage and saves.

Orza has saved 91.3 percent of the shots he has faced and recorded 189 saves, which places him sixth and ninth respectively in those categories in Section 1.

His overall goalie rating is 8.131, good enough for seventh in the section.

Boys youth hoops

Pleasantville has gotten off to a winning start in the boys fifth grade A division of the Tri-County Basketball League with a 2-1 record.

That is good enough for fourth-place in the highly competitive 14-team division.

Briarcliff championship squads

The U15G Shooting Stars, U13G Bobcats, U11G Blaze, and U9B Boxers all brought home trophies as each of those teams in the Briarcliff Youth Soccer Club won the Westchester Youth Soccer League division they played in.

Congrats to all the team's on a championship season!
