DJ Henry Youth Football Clinic Slated for Sunday

Register now for the annual memorial clinic named for the Pace University student.

will commemorate Danroy "DJ" Henry, a former football player, through the annual DJ Henry Memorial Youth Football Clinic on Sunday.

The clinic, which has been offered since the shooting death of Henry in 2010, is open to area football players ages six to 12.

"Campers will have the opportunity to meet the team, run through drills and meet T-Bone, the Pace University mascot," according to a statement from the Pleasantville-based school. "There is no cost for the event and each participant will receive season tickets for the 2012 Pace Football season, schedule magnets and free food from local sponsors."

The clinic will be held on Pace Field of the Pleasantville campus.

Players and coaches from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II university will teach players offensive and defensive drills.

Last year's clinic drew more than 100 young players from the Pleasantville-Briarcliff Manor area.
