Talking Baseball and Books with Author Joe Wallace

Families and their little sluggers are invited to join author Joe Wallace for a lively discussion about baseball in literature with USA Today reporter Bob Minzeshiemer. Wallace is the author of Diamond Ruby, a novel inspired by Jackie Mitchell, the female pitcher who struck out Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in 1931. He is also the author of non-fiction titles The Autobiography of Baseball and A Gathering of Wonders: Behind the Scenes at the American Museum of Natural History. A book signing will follow the program.

Free. In the Budarz Theatre. Sponsored by the Jesse Collyer Youth Sports Leagues.
