Kaitlyn Lynch Named NE-10 Female Swimmer of the Year
EASTON, MA- Kaitlyn Lynch (Vallejo, CA/Solano C.C.) has been selected as the Northeast-10 Conference Female Swimmer of the Year as voted on by the NE-10 coaches. Lynch was named the NE-10 Female Swimmer of the Meet at this year’s NE-10 Championships. It also marks the first time in program history that Pace has garnered a major award winner.
Lynch was the top female swimmer as last month's Northeast-10 Conference Championships as she was named the NE-10 Female Swimmer of the Meet. In addition, she garnered the Philip Hunsaker Collegeswimming.com Women's Division II Swimmer of the Week award as well.
Lynch won three gold medals at the meet, including setting an NE-10 Championships record in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.17. She also won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke with times of 56.82 and 57.06. Her 100 fly time was an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. She also earned an NCAA “B” cut time and set a school record of 56.55 in the 100 backstroke leading off the Setters 400 medley relay. Lynch also took home hardware in three different relays earning a silver medal for her work in the 200 medley relay and bronze in the 400 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.
