Pleasantville is enjoying a winning season so far in the Tri-County Baskeball League's eighth grade A division with a 3-2 record.

Ossining boys derail Pleasantville

Ossining and Pleasantville got at it in boys basketball Jan. 10 with Ossining coming out on top 65-53 at Ossining.

Keon Ervin scored a game-high 21 points for the Pride with teammate Sam LaCour contributing 11 points.

Pleasantville's James Leyden registered 15 points with teammate Charlie Montgomery contributing 14 points.

OHS and PHS girls play too

The Ossining and Pleasantville girls basketball squads also played Jan. 10 with the Ossining machine continuing to roll, this time 81-39 at the host Panthers.

Ossining's Saniya Chong scored a game-high 25 points in addition to registering eight assists and four steals. Teammate Kathryn Polletta tallied 15 points.

Zaria Cobb was the Panthers' high-scorer with 13 points.
