Pace Baseball Alum Joe Solomeno ’13 Signs with Evansville Otters

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.- Pace Baseball alum and catcher Joe Solomeno (Holbrook, NY/Sachem East) has signed a professional baseball contract with the independent Evansville Otter of the Frontier League. Solomeno recently finished his Pace career this past spring as he helped lead the Setters to their first NCAA Division II Tournament since 1985.

Solomeno was one of the top defensive catchers in the Northeast-10 Conference the past two seasons as he threw out almost 40% of runners on the base paths. He batted .273 in his senior season with nine doubles, one homerun, 26 RBI’s, 16 runs scored in 40 games played.
