PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.- The Pace Setters Men's Basketball program took time out of its busy schedule to volunteer for the annual Hudson Valley Special Olympics Senior Basketball Tournament. The event, which had 12 teams competing for championships in three competition levels, was held Sunday, February 17 at Pace University's Goldstein Health and Recreation Center on the Pleasantville campus. The entire Pace team and coaching staff worked with the Special Olympians and assisted with score keeping and officiating the games.

"It is always a great experience for our team members and staff when we have the opportunity to volunteer for Special Olympic events," said Pace Head Coach Jim Harter. "Part of the educational experience for our basketball players is learning how to give back to the community, and it was especially rewarding to offer both our time and the terrific facility we have here at Pace. I think the Special Olympic athletes enjoyed playing in the Goldstein Health and Fitness Center and bonding with our players and coaches."
