Pace Men Set Records in Tri-Meet
Members of the swimming and diving team set school records and performed well in a tri-meet.

MAHWAH, N.J.- Derek Slayton (Huntington Beach, CA/Marina/Cypress College) continued to set records as he broke the school record in the 200-yard breaststroke in a tri-meet against Ramapo and New Jersey Institute of Technology. The Setters lost to both teams in the meet.
Slayton finished in second place in the 200-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 2:49.08, while winning in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.33. He also came in third place in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:06.36.

Dogus Akay set the school record in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 55.78, taking first place in the event. Akay also took first place in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:59.62, while taking second place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.78. Kevin Dickson(Coldingham, Scotland/Wallace) took first place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.32, while placing second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.36.
In the 400-yard medley relay, the quartet of Akay, Slayton, Dickson and Michael Fridman(Jerusalum, Israel/Zionist Village) took first place in the event with a time of 3:40.37.

The Setters return to action for the Pace Invitational at the Goldstein Fitness Center on November 30-December 1.
