Pace Names New Head Cross Country Coach

Tom O'Neill joins the Setters after working as a personal trainer in Mamaroneck.

The men and women of 's NCAA Division II cross country squad have a new coach.

Mark Brown, the school's director of athletics, has named Tom O'Neill head coach of both the men's and women's teams, beginning August 16.

O'Neill comes to Pace after having served as the Assistant Cross Country and Track and Field Coach at Stevens Institute of Technology from 2007-2011. During his time at Stevens, he coached the 2011 NCAA Woman of the Year as well as a Division III National Champion. In addition, he has coached several national qualifiers and conference champions in track and field. In his role at Stevens, he assisted with recruiting, scheduling meets and implementing training programs. He also founded and served as the Chairman of the Stevens Institute of Technology Nutrition Committee from 2010-11. Most recently, O'Neill currently works as a personal trainer at Equinox Fitness Club in Mamaroneck, New York.

O'Neill graduated Oneonta State with a Bachelor's Degree in English in 2006 where he was a two-time All-American. He went on to earn his Master's Degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport in 2007. O'Neill resides in New Rochelle, New York.
