The participants swam 15.5 miles starting in Port Jefferson, New York across Long Island Sound and finishing in Bridgeport, Connecticut, which benefitted the St. Vincent’s Foundation to use to support cancer patients and their families. The swim took them over 9 hours and they battled the elements with rainy weather, jellyfish, and 4-5 foot seas.
