Pace University Fires Head Football Coach Chris Dapolito

The decision comes shortly after an 0-11 regular season.

As the smoke clears from a winless 2013 season, Pace University’s football program will make a change at head coach.

Pace University Director of Athletics Mark Brown announced Friday afternoon that Head Coach Chris Dapolito will not continue as the head football coach for Pace moving forward.

Dapolito had served as the head coach of the team since February 2010. Prior to becoming the head coach he was the offensive coordinator for two years.

“I would like to thank Chris Dapolito for his dedication to the Pace football program for the past 5 years; I wish him the best in his future endeavors,” Brown said.

A national search will begin immediately for a new coach, Pace Athletics said in a press release.
