PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace Volleyball team continued their winning streak, extending it to six matches in a row, as they ground the Skyhawks of Stonehill College 3-1 (29-31, 26-24, 25-19, 25-17) in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters improve to 13-14 overall and 7-3 in the NE-10, while the Skyhawks fall to 12-11 and 6-5 in conference play.
In the opening set, the Setters jumped out to a 19-15 lead but the Skyhawks rallied to tie the score at 23. The team traded points with Stonehill netting the final two points to take the opening set 31-29. Pace again took an early lead in the second set as they led 7-4 before Stonehill rallied to tie it at 10 and eventually built a 16-13 lead. The Setters answered as they flipped the score and jumped out to a 23-20 lead. Stonehill pulled even at 24 but the Setters rallied for the final two points to even the match at 1-1 with a 26-24 win. The third set was back and forth as the Setters pulled even for the final time in the set at 12-12. Pace took the lead at 18-15 and took set four 25-19. Stonehill took a slim 2-1 lead in the fourth set but the Setters rallied to pull ahead 9-5. Stonehill the gap getting as close 18-16 but Pace pulled away as they netted seven of the final eight points in a 25-17 win and took the match 3-1.

For Pace, Megan Kurz (San Diego, CA/Patrick Henry) had a career-day as she finished with a match-high 24 kills along with 13 digs and three total blocks as she finished with a .380 hitting percentage. Tamilee Webb (Hartsdale, NY/Ardsley) finished with seven kills, two service aces and eight total blocks, while Nora Rugova (Mt. Kisco, NY/Fox Lane) tallied eight kills, 12 digs and two blocks. Brooke Speyerer (Winter Haven, FL/Lake Region) totaled 37 assists, 15 digs, four kills and four blocks, while Elyse Rowland (Antioch, CA/Deer Valley) recorded 22 digs.Gabrielle Harris (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Friends) added five kills and five total blocks
The Setters return to action as they will travel to Oakdale, NY for a non-conference match against Dowling College on Saturday, October 27 at 3 pm.
