The Setters won the Empire State Challenge by six strokes with a score of 319 as they finished ahead of second place Dowling College, who finished with a team score of 325. Brian Allmendinger (East Islip, NY/East Islip), TJ Fitzgerald (Madison, CT/Daniel Hand) and Joe Raitano (Mahopac, NY/Mahopac) led Pace as they finished tied for fourth place with a round of 79.

The Setters dropped a doubleheader to American International College in Northeast-10 Conference action. Pace lost 4-0 in the opener and 3-0 in the nightcap as they fall to 21-13 overall and 9-11 in the NE-10. Nicole Schultheis (Plainview, NY/Bethpage) recorded a pair of hits for the Setters in the doubleheader. The Setters are back in action on Friday, April 13 when Pace will travel to Orangeburg, NY for a non-conference doubleheader against Dominican College at 3 pm.
The Setters came up short to the Panthers of Adelphi 9-6 in Northeast-10 Southwest Division action. Pace falls to 16-14 overall, 7-7 in the NE-10 and 5-1 in the division. Kyle Turnier (Waterford, CT/Waterford) went 2-for-4 for the Setters, while Joe Lombardi (Briarcliff, NY/Briarcliff) recorded a pair of RBI’s.
