James Pjura Named NCBWA and NE-10 Player of the Week

We thank the Pace University Sports Information Department for the below submission:

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.- James Pjura (Shelton, CT/Shelton) was named Northeast-10 Conference as well as National Collegiate Baseball Writers’ Association East Region Player of the Week after batting. 778 in two games last week.

Pjura hit .778 (7-for-9) with three doubles, four RBI and four runs scored in a pair of victories over Mercy last week. The sophomore went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI in a 10-0 win on Friday before going 4-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in Saturday’s 11-4 win. On the season, he is batting .500 (8-for-16) with three doubles, five RBI’s and five runs scored.
