No. 1 Briarcliff defeated visiting No. 9 Putnam Valley 3-2 in the quarterfinals of the Section 1 Class B tournament on May 26 as per Vincent Mercogliano's post on the LoHud Baseball Blog.
Mercogliano also reported host Briarcliff earned a trip to the quarterfinals by defeating No. 16 Croton-Harmon 5-0 in the opening round of the tournament on May 25.

Pleasantville
No. 4 Pleasantville fell to visiting No. 5 Dobbs Ferry 6-4 in the quarterfinals of the Section 1 Class B Tournament on May 26 according to Kevin Kurtz' story on MSG Varsity.
The host Panthers won their opening-round game 3-0 on May 25 against North Salem as per Mercogliano's post.
Softball
No. 7 Pleasantville lost to visiting No. 10 Albertus Magnus 6-1 in the opening round of the Section 1 Class B tournament on May 25 according to Debbie Schechter's post on the LoHud Softball Blog.
