GARDEN CITY, N.Y.- The Pace lacrosse team fell to national #4 Adelphi University Panthers 17-3 in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters fall to 3-3 overall and 0-3 in the NE-10, while the Panthers improve to 5-0 and 3-0 in conference play.
William Scioscia (Somerset, NJ/Immaculata) opened the scoring in the game as he scored in the first minute of play off an assist from Matthew Cossidente (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) as Pace took a 1-0 lead.

The Panthers scored the next four goals but Frank Buffalino (Syosset, NY/Syosset) scored at the 3:35 mark to cut the score to 4-2. Adelphi scored two late goals to lead 6-2 after one quarter and scored four in the second quarter for a 10-2 lead at halftime. Mike Ruppert (Hicksville, NY/Holy Trinity) scored late in the fourth quarter for the final Pace goal of the afternoon.
Conor Brophy (Pompton Lakes, NJ/DePaul Catholic) played 60 minutes, recording 10 saves as his record falls to 0-2 on the season.

The Setters return to action on Saturday, March 30 as they will host the Falcons of Bentley University for an NE-10 game at 1 pm at Pace Field on the Pleasantville campus.
