The Pleasantville Youth Soccer Club girls U13 team of the Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL) just completed its sixth season in the league and its third first-place finish in their division.
Their record this season—spring season 2012—was 7 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie. Most of the girls have been playing together for six seasons over three years (a fall and spring season each year) and in that time they have compiled a very respectable 38 wins, 11 losses and 7 ties.

They have finished first in their division three times including this season. This fall they will move up to girls U14 Division 1.
What may have started as a soccer team trying to win games on the field, has grown into something much larger and important. That starts with their head coach, Sean O'Neill, who also serves as president of the Pleasantville Youth Soccer Club.
O’Neill has created an atmosphere for a once in a lifetime family experience with credit also going to assistant coach, Dr. Harry Moskowitz and team assistants George Proctor and Lenny Balducci.
Because of their commitment this group of girls and their families have become special well beyond the soccer field. We (collective we) enjoy being around and with each other, so much so that we refer to ourselves as "our soccer family."
The girls hang together outside of soccer and do other activities. Every spring or summer there's a family barbeque and after the fall season we all get together for the holiday's, this past Christmas season I believe the count was 67 people for a Holiday party. When I say family I mean the entire family—mom, dad, brothers, sisters and teammates.
We are all so fortunate to have connected with a head coach like Sean that clearly has always put the girls and their families first.
