PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y- Carol Johnson (New City, NY/Cardinal Spellman) was selected Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week after an outstanding week that featured a win over nationally ranked Bentley University on Saturday.
The Setters went 2-0 for the week, including defeating #4 ranked Bentley this past Saturday along with Saint Michael’s last Tuesday.

Johnson averaged 18 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists for the week, which included a victory over No. 4 Bentley. The senior guard posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds along with three assists in a win over Saint Michael’s before scoring a career-high 26 points to go with five rebounds and four assists in a home win over the nationally-ranked Falcons.
The Setters return to action on Wednesday, January 11 when Pace will host Saint Anselm College in a Northeast-10 Conference match-up at the Goldstein Fitness Center at 5:30 p.m.
Locals ranked in polls
The Briarcliff and Pleasantville boys basketball squads were both ranked in the latest LoHud Varsity Insider Class B poll and in the Small Schools Top 10.

Mount Pleasant splits on ice
The Mount Pleasant ice-hockey team split its last two games, winning 6-0 against host Newburgh Jan. 6 and losing a highly competitive contest to visiting Ossining in overtime 4-3 Jan. 7.
