More than 400 ducks braved an obstacle-ridden stream during the first ever race.

The attention of the Pleasantville Swim Team and community was temporarily shifted from the to a nearby stream on Sunday for the duration of the first rubber ducky race.

Locals purchased more than 400 individual rubber ducks or families of five to compete in the race over a difficult course to support the team.

Event organizer Steve Lord was on-hand with a "duck horn" to keep an eye on the participants.
