Expect some severe storms, damaging winds and large hail after 4 p.m. today, according to the NWS. There is also potential for "torrential rainfall which could lead to areas of flooding," the alert states.
Also tonight, thunderstorms and showers are likely before 8 p.m., the NWS states.
