‘A Child’s Christmas in New England’ to Visit Mount Pleasant Library

Winter Concerts Take Two

Pleasantville Middle School grades seven and eight will perform its winter concert on Monday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The concert was originally scheduled for last week but was postponed due to inclement weather. Meanwhile, Pleasantville fifth graders will have its winter concert Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

A Child’s Christmas in New England

Robert Sullivan, of New Castle, will be presenting and signing his new memoir, “A Child's Christmas in New England,” at the Mount Pleasant Public Library in Pleasantville on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. Already called by Gregory Maguire (Wicked) "beautiful," and praised in People, Parade, Real Simple and Publishers Weekly, the "gorgeous" (Parade) illustrated book recounts Sullivan's upbringing in the 1950s and '60s.

Briarcliff Schools Public Meeting

The Briarcliff Board of Education will meet for a regularly scheduled meeting Monday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. The board expects to go into an executive session to discuss the Taylor Law negotiations before jumping into its regular agenda. To see the full agenda, click here.

The Village of Briarcliff Manor Board of Trustees will have a regularly scheduled meeting Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Village Hall. Items on the agenda include an amended capital project list for the 2013-14 bond resolutions and an awarded bid for the Edith Macy Water Tank rehabilitation project.
