Bird Walk at Rockefeller State Park Preserve
The weekly walk at a local birding hotspot will be at Rockefeller State Park Preserve on Monday, Nov. 11 at 8:30 a.m. Meet in the main parking area off Rt. 117. Call (914-666-6503) or email (office@sawmillriveraudubon.org) to borrow a pair of binoculars for the walk; otherwise no RSVP is needed.
Thanksgiving Lunch with Carine Feist
Carine Feist is a chef educator for the Cornell Plantations, Westchester County Farmers Market Programs & Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture. On Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m., she will prepare a lunch of scrumptious Thanksgiving side dishes, using fall vegetables from the gardens or the farmers market. A sparkling Cranberyy Spritzer and some local Apple Cider will accompany the menu. Apple desserts will be brought in by hospitality. The event will be held at 48 Macy Road in Briarcliff Manor.

The Pleasantville PTA is holding an event on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Pleasantville High School Library. In her book, The Anti-Romantic Child, author and guest speaker Priscilla Gilman explores parents' hopes and expectations for their children, families, and themselves —and the ways in which experience may lead people to re-imagine them. Girls Inc. Power of the Purse
Girls Inc. Westchester’s signature event at the Trump National Golf Club on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m. will honor prominent Westchester personalities for their commitment to the empowerment of Westchester girls. The event will feature cocktails, dinner, a designer boutique, a silent auction, and a live auction of handbags, designed to reflect the personalities of the honorees.
