Community Day Slots; Rosh Hashanah Orders

Here are some things to keep in mind this week:

1. With Briarcliff Manor's Community Day coming up on Saturday, village non-profits or other community groups are invited to set up booths at Law Memorial Park during the day's events. If you're interested, reach out to Recreation Superintendent Henry Jamin at 941-6560 or athjamin@briarcliffmanor.org.

2. Pleasantville's Board of Education will be discussing the district website, as well as holding a public hearing on the proposed updates to the Code of Conduct Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The full meeting agenda is available here.

3. Briarcliff Manor is extending its summer pools hours with the schools' late start this year. This week, catch some of the last summer rays between 12 and 6 p.m. through Sunday. The pool will be closing at 5 p.m. Tuesday for the "Back with a Splash" party for Youth Center members.

4. The Village of Briarcliff Manor has canceled its Board of Trustees meeting and work session initially slated for Wednesday.

5. With Rosh Hashanah right around the corner, Janiello's Specialty Foods in Briarcliff Manor is now accepting orders for the High Holidays. Challah, matzoh ball soup, chopped liver, poached salmon and more are available now. Call 923-3240 to pre-order this week.
