Here are some things to keep in mind this week:

1. Briarcliff Manor Girl Scout Troops 2058 and 1169 are hosting a coat and sweater drive beginning Tuesday to benefit the Ossining Food Pantry. Get the details here.

2. Briarcliff Manor eatery The Briar's Restaurant is celebrating Oktoberfest this month. Click here to access the special menu.

3. Pleasantville's Board of Trustees meets at 7 p.m. Monday for a work session, where there will be an update on the farmers market and public safety committee recommendations for Great Oak Lane and Grandview Avenue. A regular 8 p.m. meeting will follow.

4. Briarcliff Manor Village Manager Philip Zegarelli warned in his latest update that police officers are actively handing out speeding tickets now that school is back in session. "There is zero tolerance for drivers challenging, avoiding or not following school bus safety rules. Friends: I have a hard time having to remind drivers of this serious situation," he wrote.

5. Briarcliff Manor's Board of Trustees is meeting for a work session and regular meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
