The Haven Spa's Ribbon Cutting

The grand opening of the Haven Spa will be held on Friday, Nov. 15 at 12 p.m. The spa is located at 25 Wheeler Avenue in Pleasantville. For more information call 914-923-4516.

Friday Night At the Movies: The Way, Way Back (PG-13)

It's Friday Night at the Movies at the Briarcliff Manor Public Library (1 Library Road) on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. Registration is recommended but all are welcome to attend. More details here.

Physics in Nature in Pleasantville

The American Physical Society, NYS Section is holding a symposium on Saturday Nov.16 at 9 a.m. at Pace University, Pleasantville campus, with the theme "Physics in Nature." 

Featured presentations include "Physics of the Ocean" by Dr. Malcolm Bowman, and "Information Processing in the Retina" by Dr. Harold Metcalf. Coffee, light breakfast, and lunch are included. Students attend for free, teachers and retirees are $25, all others are $35 if pre-registered ($45 at the door, if you choose not to pre-register). More details here.

'Time Stands Still' Play

Time Stands Still, written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, Donald Margulies, is a funny, thoughtful drama that examines the challenges of two wartime correspondents; Sarah, a recently injured photojournalist, and her overprotective partner, James, a floundering freelance writer.

This performance, presented by M&M Productions Acting Company, will take place on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Public Library, located at 350 Bedford Road in Pleasantville.
