Pleasantville Spooktakular Halloween Costume Swap
Because it was such a big success last year, it is back again! The 2nd Annual Pleasantville Spooktakular Halloween Costume Swap will be held on Saturday, October 19 at Memorial Plaza Gazebo (at the Pleasantville train station) from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.Bring a gently used Halloween costume and/or paraphernalia or simply show up and choose a Halloween costume that’s new to you—or perhaps a mask or wig. Leftover costumes will be donated to Blythedale Children's Hospital.
Briarcliff Nursery School Fall Festival & Open House
There will be games, pumpkin decorating, treats, bake sale, arts and crafts, a photo booth, story time, tattoos and more. Admission is free and tickets can be purchased for food and games. It will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. at 40 Morningside Drive in Ossining.Mt. Pleasant Fall Foliage Festival
The town of Mt. Pleasant Recreation and Parks is holding its Fall Foliage Festival on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Broadway Field in Hawthorne. There will be games and rides, pumpkin decorating, pace painting and more. There will also be a scarecrow decorating – just bring your supplies (shirts, pants/overalls, hats, pillow cases and more). Hay, markers and stands will be provided.
Annual Pumpkin Sale
St. Mary's Episcopal Church is holding its 5th Annual Pumpkin Sale. It is open through Oct. 31 and it's open on Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. It is located at 669 Albany Post Road, Route 9 near Sleepy Hollow Road. All proceeds used to support local and international charities.__
