There are tons of ways to keep busy around Pleasantville and Briarcliff Manor this weekend, and we're here to help you decide which happenings are for you. Here are the details for several great events.

Pleasantville's Hope’s Door to "Shine a Spotlight" on Domestic Violence

The event, on Friday, Oct. 11, will occur during National Domestic Violence Awareness month. With the theme Broadway Matinee, the charitable organization plans to “shine a spotlight” on domestic violence while bringing together the “glitz and  glamour” of Broadway. Tony-nominated and Emmy Award-winning Actress Liz Calloway, Conductor and Musical Director Susan Anderson, and family attorney and advocate Alayne Katz will be the speakers at the event. Briarcliff: Family Movie Night

Everyone is welcome to come to the Briarcliff Manor Library on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. to view this new-to-DVD family movie, The Croods, on the library's big screen. You are invited to bring your own snacks to enjoy while watching the show.

Pleasantville Spooktakular Halloween Costume Swap

Because it was such a big success last year, it is back again! The 2nd Annual Pleasantville Spooktakular Halloween Costume Swap will be held on Saturday, October 12 at Memorial Plaza Gazebo (at the Pleasantville train station) from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Bring a gently used Halloween costume and/or paraphernalia or simply show up and choose a Halloween costume that’s new to you—or perhaps a mask or wig. Leftover costumes will be donated to Blythedale Children's Hospital.

Annual Harvest in the Village

The Briarcliff Manor Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Harvest in the Village on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This fun, family event will feature exhibitor booths by local businesses as well as fall activities such as a petting zoo, jumping castle, juggling clown, pony rides, and arts and crafts.
