A Thousand Arks

Where/WhenLittle Village Playhouse on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m.
Why go: A musical about what really happened on Noah's Ark is playing in Pleasantville Saturday night. A Thousand Arks contains adult content and language. Purchase tickets in advance here.

Pleasantville Farmers Market

Where/When: Memorial Plaza on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why go: This week at the market, browse your favorite vendors and check out this week's special happenings. There will be canning tips from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and supplies you can take home to transform your farm fresh fruit. For kids, there will be an engineering lesson from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Finally, Isa-Allen, a guitar duo, will be performing from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Outdoor Screening of Angels with Dirty Faces

Where/When: Under the Guard Tower at Playground Area, Louis Engel Waterfront Park, Ossining on Friday, Aug. 16 at 9 a.m.
Why go: The Village of Ossining’s Bicentennial Celebration continues with a showing of the 1938 American gangster classic Angels with Dirty Faces on Ossining’s waterfront adjacent to where it was originally filmed, Sing Sing Prison. Starring James Cagney, Pat O'Brien and Humphrey Bogart. Pre-movie concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring a blanket or comfortable low-back chair. Picnics welcome; alcohol not permitted.

Toddler Time

Where/WhenMount Pleasant Public Library on Friday, Aug. 16 from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.
Why go: Rhymes, songs, stories and more interactive games and activities for children ages one through two-and-a-half are on tap at the library Friday evening.
