1. Annual Toy at Atria in
This year Atria is hoping its unique annual toy drive benefits some of
America’s military and their families. Join them in helping to make some
military families experience this holiday season in a special way, one toy at
a time. You can make this time of year a little bit happier and brighter for a
child of our military troops by donating a new, unwrapped toy by Thursday, Dec.
19 to Atria Briarcliff Manor at 1025 Pleasantville Road.
2. Pleasantville High School Carolers: Carolers from Pleasantville High School “Camerata Chorus” will be going door-to-door to the shops with Santa in the village Saturday morning. From 11 a.m. to noon, with the Holiday Instrumental Ensemble will be featured at the Bandstand in Memorial Plaza. At approximately 11:45 the carolers will all be performing at the bandstand with the instrumentalists. The instrumentalists will perform again in the old village in front of Michael's from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
3. Inside Llewyn Davis: “Inside Llewyn Davis” opens this Friday, Dec. 13 at the Jacob Burns Film Center, along with a sneak peak showing Thursday, Dec. 12 at 10 p.m. The film has received overwhelming critical acclaim, registering a 94% “Certified Fresh” score on Rotten Tomatoes among nearly 100 reviews. 4. Pleasantville Indoor Farmers’ Market: The Pleasantville Farmers Market, the largest farmers market in Westchester County, continues its second annual indoor market season Saturday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Pleasantville Middle School. There will be over 40 vendors providing the highest quality regionally grown foods, including humanely raised meats, winter-grown vegetables, prepared foods sourced with regional ingredients, and many other offerings. 5. All Saints’ Church Annual Christmas Tree and Wreath sale: With Thanksgiving in the
rearview mirror, it’s time to get your Christmas tree or a wreath. Large
selection of Douglas and Fraser firs at competitive prices as well as 16"
wreaths. Proceeds benefit the ministries of the historic church located at
201 Scarborough Road in Briarcliff Manor.
