Seussical

Where/WhenWashington Irving School (103 S Broadway Tarrytown) on Friday, July 26 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 27 at 2 p.m. & 7 p.m.
Why go: Pleasantville and Briarcliff High School students are among those assuming the roles of classic Dr. Seuss characters for this kid-friendly production. Director Kathleen Donovan-Warren says she is putting a "spin" on the show by adding blacklight and pupperys to the mix. Read more about it here.

Game Breaks by the Pool

Where/WhenLaw Memorial Park pavilion on Saturday, July 27 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Why go: Take a break from the pool to enjoy board games, courtesy of the Briarcliff Manor Public Library, Saturday afternoon. There will be games available for adults, teens and kids to enjoy.

Barrymore Play

Where/WhenLyndhurst (635 South Broadway Tarrytown) on Saturday, July 27 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 28 at 3 p.m.

Why go: Playing on Saturdays and Sunday through August 11, Barrymore centers around actor John Barrymore, the “Black Sheep” of America's most illustrious acting family. Michael Muldoon will play the “The Great Profile,” as Barrymore was known. The show is directed by Melinda O’Brien. Purchase tickets in advance here.

The Great Outdoors

Where/WhenJacob Burns Film Center on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28 at 12 p.m.
Why go: Pleasantville's local theater is continuing its Movies for Kids series with a screening of the classic 1988 The Great Outdoors, starring Dan Aykroyd and John Candy. The PG, 91-minute family comedy centers around a family vacation in Wisconsin.
Pricing: $12 nonmember adults; $7.50 children under 12 and $9 students

Ossining Summerfest

Where/When: Main and Spring streets in Ossining on Saturday, July 27 from 5 to 10 p.m.
Why go: Local vendors, including Briarcliff Manor's UMAC, will join a lineup of live music and attractions Saturday evening in downtown Ossining. This year, there will be a beer and wine garden. Check out the Surf Club Main Stage schedule here.
