Ms. Jenner- It is clear that no amount of evidence cited will convince you otherwise. Suffice toRead More say that you cannot understand (since you weren't there), the general tone of those BOE meetings, the dismissive attitude by that board of the community and teachers and the unnecessary tension created by board that was unwilling to accept any input from anyone. I am glad that you and McKey have a meeting of the minds.

6 - I didn't say that the use of pseudonym made your opinions less credible than those of McKeyRead More Rivers. I was just making a flip remark about your choice of pseudonym. Really - it is a little hard to take someone using the name Smurfette very seriously. However, I respect your right to use the name. It just so happens that I tend to agree with Mckey's point of view more than I do yours.

5 - I find the topic of the fields fairly uninteresting. Are you suggesting that Mr. BashfordRead More should never have brought up the topic and that if he hadn't, we wouldn't be spending all this money on it now? I'm confused on this one. You can't be suggesting that Mr. Bashford should have the topic of contaminated fields away from the public, so please explain.

And here's what the Pleasantville Board of Education sent out to district teachers this week:Read More "In the words of Thomas Jefferson: 'Respect and gratitude are due to those who devote their time and efforts to render the youths of every successive age fit governors for the next.' On behalf of the entire Pleasantville community, we would like to thank you, our teachers, for your care for and encouragement of each individual student, your commitment to imparting the joys of learning and your enthusiasm for and pride in your profession. Committed and caring teachers are the foundation of the excellent educational program we have in Pleasantville and we thank you sincerely for all of your efforts on behalf of our children."
