Arc Stages, Neighbor

Arc Stages is your new theatre arts center, a collaboration between the 50-year legacy of the Chappaqua Drama Group (CDG) and the Pleasantville-based educational theatre company Little Village Playhouse (LVP). Together the two theatre companies have transformed into a new and vital professional quality company whose overall objective is to bring different types of theatre and arts education to the surrounding communities. As the parent company, Arc Stages will encompass three different theatre groups: The Educational Stage (LVP), The Community Stage, and The Main Stage. Each will offer artistic excellence in its specific genre.

LVP is the educational stage where students of all ages (youth and adult) can gain self-esteem while exploring the world of theatre though a professional rehearsal process, master classes, outreach and intensive ensemble work.

The Community Stage is a community based theatre that will offer the best in contemporary and classic musicals and dramas. From Rodgers and Hammerstein to Sondheim. From Shakespeare to Shepard. The Community Stage will continue the efforts of the original beloved Chappaqua Drama Group.

The Main Stage is a professional theatre that will indulge audiences looking for more avant-garde, edgy material as well as new works, cabaret, workshops, and readings.

Together these three diverse venues will strive to better serve a wider community and its artistic needs! We are currently meeting with the town for approval on a new building which would house our educational programs, as well as a BRAND NEW THEATRE! As an arts venue, we will open our doors to other artistic groups in the community for use as a rehearsal and performance space. In time, we will also feature a lobby gallery in which local artists can display their work.
