I am a consultant specializing in working with parents whose children are, or may be, in need of special education services. 

I come to this juncture with 18 years of experience in a school system where I held  positions as school social worker, chairperson of the CPSE, chairperson of the CSE and director of pupil personnel services.  As a consultant, I partner with parents in two important ways. I help them become effective at negotiating good outcomes as they navigate the complex, often daunting, special education system. My goal is to have parents leave every CSE meeting knowing that they did an important piece of work on behalf of their child that was organized, professional and authentic. I also help parents address the complex emotional issues that impact the family.
