Great Escape: A Massage at The Haven Spa and Wellness Center

Picture it: The lights are dim. Candles are lit. There's soft music playing in the background. The pleasant smells of incense fill the air...Oh, and there's only one other person in the room.

No, we're not talking about the perfect setting for a romantic evening with the significant other. (But we'd take that, too). Instead, we're talking about another great escape for moms: a massage at the in Briarcliff Manor.

We think every mom deserves to be pampered with a relaxing massage at least once in their lives—just ask Haven Spa owner Jodi Mercedes.

"For moms, a massage would make every part of their body feel relaxed," said Mercedes. "And they would probably say, 'Why didn't I do this sooner?"

The Haven Spa and Wellness Center offers massages that last from 30 to 90 minutes. There are at least eight massages to choose from—including the classic Haven Relaxation Massage (from $75 to $140 depending on length) and the Haven Hot Stone Massage (from $140-$175). For expecting moms, there’s also a prenatal massage that costs between $80 and $95.

“It’s very relaxing,” said Mercedes. “We take a little bit out of moms’ crazy lives for about an hour.”
