Kol Rinah Chorale's Open House for Interested Singers

Kol Rinah, Westchester's Jewish Chorale

Interested Singers are invited to sing along with the Kol Rinah Chorale during its rehearsal at the October 2nd Opening House and afterward, if they wish to join Kol Rinah, to arrange for a scheduled audition with Music Director, Ben Gruder.

In the past 12 months, Kol Rinah has performed at Westchester County's Jewish Heritage Festival, the Jacob Burns Theater in conjunction with the Jewish Film Festival, and the Chappaqua Library in conjunction with the release of its new CD,"Shirei, HaOlam: Songs of the World."

Kol Rinah's performances have included lively melodies from many eras and places and in many styles, including:  Broadway hits; Afro-American spirituals; folk and composed songs from Eastern European, Spanish-Mediterranean, Italian, Balkan, Ugandan and Israeli cultures; and choral compositions by Aaron Copeland,  Leon Sher, George Gershwin, Charles Osborne, David Burger, Leonard Cohen, and Benjie Schiller.
