Buildings, fences and a bridge downtown were all vandalized this week, police said.

Reports of graffiti in downtown Pleasantville began with Chief of Police Richard Love's observations at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.

A Pleasantville Police detective was assigned to the case as additional reports starting to come in to police.

At 11:11 a.m. that morning, a Bedford Road Chase Bank employee reported "disturbing graffiti" on the parking lot side of the bank's wall.

At 11:23 a.m., a police sergeant reported graffiti at various points throughout the village, include at the Sunnyside Avenue Bridge; as well as outside Lucy's Lounge and Nilsson's Flower Shop on Bedford Road.

That night, at 10:35 p.m., a village resident called 911 and said he witnessed five teenagers spray painting a fence on Tompkins Avenue. The man said when he yelled at the youths, they fled on foot. Police were unable to immediately locate the group and also notified Mount Pleasant Police of the report.

The north side of the building had, "F*** JFK what can mt country do for me" spray painted on it, police said.

Police photographed the scenes as evidence.

This morning at 8:41 a.m., police also reported finding red graffiti inside the Sunnyside Avenue tunnel reading, "I drink too much it's no fun."
