Pleasantville Police Blotter: Fight Over Milk Crates; Stray Cat Bite

The following information is from the police department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Pleasantville Police Department from May 13 — 19, 2013:

Friday, May 17

6:30 p.m. — A Lake Peekskill man went into police headquarters and reported that his motorcycle jacket was stolen from Mavis Tire.

1:43 p.m. — A Nyack resident reported unauthorized charges on her credit card. Police filed a report.

Thursday, May 16

2:46 p.m. — A Bedford Road resident called police and said there were two pitbulls in her yard that might attack her dog. Responding police said the woman was knocked over by one of the dogs, but not injured. A neighbor told police the dogs had escaped and he re-secured them. The man provided police with proof of ownership and vaccinations for the dogs.

2:00 p.m. — A resident stopped a police officer and said his daughter reported seeing a man standing on their front lawn. The man said when he went out to speak with the man, he ran into his car and sped away. Police spoke with a neighbor who said a man with a similar description had stopped by her home last week and asked her if she was interested in remodeling. The woman said she said "No" and the man left on foot.

Wednesday, May 15

5:28 p.m. — A Dobbs Ferry resident reported $11,808 in unauthorized charges on his credit card. Police filed a report of the alleged larceny.

Tuesday, May 14

9:59 p.m. — Police received multiple 911 calls reporting a fight in a Bedford Road home. Police responded and reported the fight was over by the time they arrived. They interviewed two 42-year-old men who said they had fought over milk crates. Police determined no further action was necessary. 

Monday, May 13

8:23 p.m. — A Lake Street woman called police and reported that she brought a stray cat home. She stated the cat bit her and could possibly be rabid. The resident said she went to a doctor, who advised her to let the police department know. Police completed a bite card and sent it to the Westchester County Department of Health.
