Former Thornwood Water District Tanks Property for Auction

Interested bidders will have a chance to weigh in at two meetings in Mount Pleasant before the auction.

The Town of Mount Pleasant is gearing up for the sale of the former Thornwood Water District tanks property.

According to a notice from the Town, a public auction for the lot will be held on Sept. 9, 2013 in the Town Hall courtroom.

"Informational Packets pertaining to the 43,560 square foot parcel may be obtained from the office of the Town Clerk upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of $50 per set," the town announced. "The deposit shall be in cash or certified check payable to the Town of Mount Pleasant."

Prior to the September auction, the Town has scheduled two "bidders meetings at the site on July 31 at 10 a.m. and Aug. 21 at 10 a.m.
