No Bail for Pleasantville Man Charged in 2011 Sex Crime

The 32-year-old man was transported to Pleasantville after being detained in Rhode Island.

Oswaldo Jacinto Ordonez, a Pleasantville man suspected of committing a sex crime almost two years ago, has been remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail, according to jail records.

Ordonez, 32, is alleged to have choked and sexually abused a woman in the village in August of 2011. Police believe he then fled the jurisdiction.

Pleasantville Police said it wasn't until May 9, 2013 that they got a call from Rhode Island's Immigration and Customs Enforcement reporting they had Ordonez in custody.

Jail records indicate he was booked on May 22. Ordonez is charged with Sexual Abuse in the First Degree in Pleasantville. There is also an immigration investigation underway, according to the jail.

Ordonez is scheduled to appear in Village Court on June 11.

Note: Arrests do not indicate convictions.
