Planning Board to Vote on Part I of Pace Overhaul

The Town of Mount Pleasant plans to vote on the first phase of reconstruction for the Pleasantville campus of Pace University master plan Monday.

Pace University's Planning Board will be voting on the first phase of a planned overhaul of the Pleasantville campus Monday.

The plan has been reviewed by the Town of Mount Pleasant for the past few years and includes a proposal to sell 35-acre Briarcliff Manor campus.

On the Pleasantville campus, accessible from Route 117 (Bedford Road), the college is looking to add residence halls, more walking paths and athletic fields.

According to an article in The Examiner, the university has agreed to minor changes such as a digital speed reader, to appease the Planning Board.

The entire master plan outlined by the village is expected to take several years, and phases, to implement.

The Board's July 15 agenda states the board will vote on the "Pace University Master Plan Update Phase 1A."
