Here are some things to keep in mind this week:

1. Take your photography skills to the next level at a Digital Photography Basics workshop at the Briarcliff Manor Public Library today with local photographer Robert Uricchio. The session starts at 7 p.m.

2. St John's Episcopal Church in Pleasantville is hosting a blood drive Wednesday to benefit Phelps Memorial Hospital. Get the details, including registration information, here.

3. Briarcliff Manor's Board of Education meets Monday. There will be a presentation on K-12 state assessments and graduation results. There are also a number of work session items that include a practice field bond proposition and policy readings. The evening's full agenda is available on the district website.

4. Briarcliff Manor's Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet for a work session at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

5. In Pleasantville this week, the Planning Commission meets at 8 p.m. Wednesday and the Zoning Board of Appeals meets at 8 p.m. Thursday. The ZBA agenda is available here.

6. Pleasantville parents head back-to-school this week. Back to School Night for the seventh and eighth grades is Wednesday and kindergarten through second grade is Thursday.
