Help Clean Up Along the Saw Mill in Pleasantville Saturday

The Saw Mill River Coalition's annual effort includes a site along Parkway Terrace this year.

The Great Saw Mill River Cleanup is back and this year, volunteers will be gathering in Pleasantville this weekend as part of the effort.

According to The Saw Mill River Coalition, other sites included in Saturday's effort are in Irvington, Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley, Hastings and Yonkers.

It's the fourth year for the cleanup, which fits into the coalition's mission of "revitalizing and protecting the Saw Mill River, a tributary of the Hudson River."

Those interested in participating in the cleanup in Pleasantville are asked to meet on Parkway Terrace near the Bedford Road intersection in the village at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11. The cleanup lasts until 1 p.m.

Supplies and tools will be provided. Advanced registration is recommended, but not mandatory, and can be completed online here.
