Dozens of eager soccer players took over  on Saturday for the second annual Briarcliff Youth Soccer Club (BYSC) SoccerFest.

The  brings together the former village branches of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) and Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL) under a single umbrella to offer a more unified approach to teaching the popular sport.

Soccer has never had a shortage of interested players in the village, though field availability has proved to be a challenge for organizers.

Village Manager Philip Zegarelli said the village is dedicated to maintaining its current fields, that was dedicated last August.
