Book Talk and Signing with Author Gary Chattman
Where/When: Mount Pleasant Public Library on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 2 to 3 p.m.

Why go: Coming of Age author Gary Chattman will be hosting a talk and signing Saturday. Copies of his book, which discusses teaching children about Jewish heritage.

Pillow Forts and Other Fun Challenges
Where/When: Briarcliff Manor Public Library on Friday, Jan. 25 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Why go: The library is hosting an evening of fun for ninth through 12th graders this Friday. Enjoy snacks, build pillow forts and take part in other activities. Hosted by the Teen Advisory Board (T.A.B.).

Karaoke For Charity
Where/When: Thornwood Ale House (665 Commerce St. Thornwood) on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. (karaoke starts at 9 p.m.)
Why go: The Thornwood Ale House will be hosting a karaoke event, beginning at 9 p.m. on Saturday to support Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley. Fifteen percent of the proceds from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. will be donated. Food, drink, raffles and more will be available. Call 365-2020 for a dinner reservation.

Havdalah Family Event
Where/When: Congregation Sons of Israel on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Why go: Bring the family to learn about Havdalaha with PJ Library at CSI on Saturday. There will be games, stories and songs. PJs welcome. Recommended for children ages six months to eight years and their families. RSVP by emailing pjlibrary@csibriarcliff.org.
