West Nile in Westchester; 'Back-to-School Blast'

Patch wants to make your life a little bit easier. Here are a few things to keep in mind today in the Briarcliff Manor and Pleasantville:

1. This evening at WeeZee World of Yes I Can! in Chappaqua is a special "Back-to-School Night Blast" for kids (drop-off at 6:30 p.m.). More details here.

2. A Yonkers resident tested positive for West Nile Virus, marking the first human case this season, according to the Westchester County Department of Health. Read more here.

3. Thursday will bring thunderstorms in the p.m. hours, with a high around 93-degrees.

4. The Briarcliff Manor Public Library is now accepting registration for its seven to 10-year-old Craft Club, which will meeting Mondays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., starting in October. Parents can drop-off the kids or stay and help out. To register, email abgkaplan@gmail.com or call 941-7072.
