Leaf Pick-Up Reminders for Briarcliff Residents

Don't leave leaf piles on sidewalks, curbs, streets or catch basins, the village manager reminds residents.

With autumn in full swing, Briarcliff Manor is beginning its leaf pickup this week, Village Manager Philip Zegarelli shared in his Friday update.

"This year’s 'bumper crop' of leaves is piling up (so to speak) early this year," he wrote. "Many trees are still green and in full leaf so we decided to start now."

Zegarelli reminded residents "not to dump your leaves on Village property, the sidewalks, curbs catch basins or on the streets. You are creating a safety hazard in your own front yard. AND please do not dump or blow your leaves across the street to Village owned property. In many cases this creates drainage/flooding conditions in times of heavy rain."
