Pleasantville's Bistro 146 Earns 'Good' Times Rating

"Best of all were the fish tacos..." the New York Times review reads.

Pleasantville's 1-year-old Bistro 146 seafood restaurant is among the latest local eateries to earn some attention from The New York Times.

Emily DeNitto gives the Bedford Road restaurant an overall "Good" rating in her October 17 review.

"Panko-crusted crab cakes were crispy on the outside and moist and full of meat on the inside, accompanied by a lovely roasted pepper rémoulade," she writes. "Jumbo shrimp came coated in sharp Parmesan with wilted arugula, creamed artichokes and a welcome garlic undercurrent."

But the highlight of the meal, according to DeNitto, were the fish tacos—"nicely seared snapper with a slice of perfectly ripe avocado, a bit of crunchy lettuce and subtle green tomatillo salsa tucked into a fresh white corn tortilla."

"There are not enough seafood-focused restaurants in Westchester," DeNitto noted, "and a meal at Bistro 146 can be terrific."
